Winside Public School has had access to the Internet since the fall of 1996. Every classroom has a computer connected to the Internet and in the fall of 1997 we added a new computer lab in the elementary building that is completely wired for on-line access. There is a computer lab in the high school that is also wired for Internet access. In 2001 the High School added a distance learning lab. More ...

The current Winside School District was formed in 1962. Several country schools consolidated with the existing district. The current high school was built in 1962. The current elementary was completed in 1971.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Winside Public School is to work with the community to provide necessary resources for a high quality, broad based educational experience for our students to help them live productive lives both socially and professionally.

We believe that through quality education the students can develop the skill for life long learning.

We believe cost effective education shall be provided using traditional and technological experiences.

We believe a safe and secure environment will be provided to allow students to progress in honesty, respect, and leadership.

We believe in preparing students for the 21st century as mature, dependable and contributing citizens.

We believe Winside Public School must provide the opportunity for each student to excel.

We believe each student should be well prepared in the areas of problem solving, critical thinking, and cooperative learning upon graduation.

We believe with the community and school working together we will pursue high educational standards based on a quality curriculum.
