Each day, during Opening Exercises, the Star Student is announced, preceded by a drum roll. In the picture the Star Student's picture appears on a star.        Also during Opening Exercises the class does the calendar and the weather report.  They get the weather forecast from the Internet.

1. Announce star student.  (Announced by previous day's star student)
2. Star Student announces his/her right and left hand helpers.
3. Take attendance on white period absentee sheet.  Write students absent and attach to magnet on light switch.  Then mark attendance in theblue attendance book.
4. Pledge of Allegience
5. Read the menu
6. Students write the morning message in their Morning Message books. They must have at least three sentences.
7. Calendar activities.  Star Student leads the activities.  (The weather report is taken from the Internet.)
8. Poetry Place - Select a couple of poems to be read from their poetry folders.
9. Bathrooms

On Monday sharpen pencils before going to the bathroom.
