Lynne Wacker

Position: Third Grade Teacher (after many, many years teaching sixth grade)

Experience: I started my teaching career at a rural school south of Wayne where I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade for several years. I came to Winside School to teach in 1985. I began as a teacher's aide in the kindergarten classroom. I then taught kindergarten before switching to the 6th grade classroom where I remained until taking on the third grade position this year.

Education: I am a graduate of Winside Public School. I have a bachelor of arts degree from Wayne State College.

Personal Facts: I was born and raised in Winside and have lived here for most of my life. I am married to Bob Wacker. We have two children, Darren of Janesville, MN and Jennifer of Omaha, NE. We also have a daughter-in-law, DeeAnn, a son-in-law, Ryan, and three grandchildren, Trevin, Kaylyn, and McKenna.

Hobbies: I enjoy walking, biking, traveling, gardening, and cooking.

Beliefs About Education:
          Children need to be challenged to reach their full potential. (No pain, no gain!)
          Learning can be fun.
          Education is a powerful tool which can help anyone achieve their dream.
          Parental support is one of the most valuable gifts a teacher can be given.
