What's New at Winside Public School? Congratulations to
the Speech Team!!
The Winside
Speech Team finished out the year in grand form. They finished
second at Districts with the following students qualifying for state:
Kyle M. - Humorous Interpretation of Prose Literature Virginia F. - Extemporaneous Speaking and Persuasive Speaking Samantha H., Kyle M., Matt P., Michaela S. & Sally S. - Oral Interpretation of Drama The team competed at the state meet on Wednesday March 19th and the following students placed: Virginia F. - Extemporaneous - 2nd Place (State D-1 runner-up!) Samantha H., Kyle M., Matt P., Michaela S., & Sally S. - Drama - 5th Place Their coach, Mrs. Kesting, said the kids were up at 5:00 a.m., started competing at 8:00 and didn't stop competing till after 5:30. They didn't get home till after 11:00 p.m. They all deserve a huge pat on the back for all the hard work! Way to Go!
